is it just me or are the colours on deviant art desaturated when you upload? what am i doing wrong!?

I said I wouldn't post here until I felt I should. A lot has changed in a year, and I return to deviant art a very different munchinkin and hopefully a very different artist.

Im currently in Japan teaching English, so art for me is no longer a job, its not my wage, it not necessarily my responsibility, I can spend the next couple of years never even stretching my artistic self, never even picking up a pencil paintbrush, taking a picture or.....but thats not me. What this move has given me is less pressure with regards art. Since college art has become a demand upon me and often left me feeling worse rather than better, before I left Ireland for Japan (in August of this year) I had become involved a lot in film and photography, my little inner artist was lovin it, snuggling in all the fluffy happiness of creation and it fueled so much more in me, the lessons i learned from that is what I want to take to my exploration of art. Emigrating to Japan was no small task, and stretching my artistic muscles is still low on the totem pole, I have over 1000 students to teach, a new language to learn and a little bit of me to find everyday. Slowly I want to breath within art again, I dont want it to be my job or a demand on me, but a desire, a need a freedom, like the girl who started out here on this lovely artistic social network.

I will be around deviant every now and then, checking mail, checking out people work to stay inspired but i havent been active here in a while and im gonna take a hiatus. I wont submit work here for a bit, mamma needs her groove back once i make something with more confidence i will return to submitting art. But when i do start again, then i will really mean it!! and i want to put proper work into my deviant page!

so if i dont reply quick or comment much its nothing personal!

anyhoo, im in crazy flux at the moment, i've moved out (properly for the first time) and its really exciting and very scary since now i gotta pay rent! bout time though, im so lazy! im trying not to destroy art for myself at the moment and take it slow, i need to take everything slowly! cos i have so much going on, i need art to be my freedom.

I've started celtic knotwork so if i do anything nice i shall post it.

Sorry for not getting back to people and work not getting done when i said it would but things are too fast right now. I promise to get to artworks and readings once things calm down, which should be november nah i will get there before that, but as of now i have no internet in the new place so im getting internet where ever can! i'm such an addict

i'm shooting a video tomorrow to enter a music video competition, its kinda last minute as i have to send it in for sept 1st, i've known about it for a while but i gave up on doin it for a bit cos i wasnt able to get organized but last minute i said I'M DOING IT! so im excited!

also working for three different authors all on three very different projects! (mostl no monies though but thats ok cos my portfolio will get better!
